To eat or to consume (scientific word is to ingest) means to take or put into the mouth as a food then chew, crush, and swallow it.
There are several causes of refusal to eat.
Examples:
- Physiological changes associated with age.
- Mental depression
- Dementia
- Medical condition
- Social and environmental conditions
- The medical term for a loss of appetite is anorexia.

ECCENTRICITY

Eccentric is a person whose behaviour and views are uncommon and slightly strange.
Characteristics
- Nonconforming
- Creative
- Strongly motivated by curiosity
- Happily, obsessed with one or more hobbyhorses (usually five or six)
- Aware from early childhood that they are different.
- Intelligent
- Opinionated and outspoken
- Non-competitive, not in need of reassurance or reinforcement from society
- Unusual in their eating habits and living arrangements.
- Not particularly interested in the opinions or company of other people
- Possessed of a mischievous sense of humour.
Remedy: Verat.
ECSTASY/EXHILARATION/EXALTATION

Ectasy is an emotional state of extreme happiness.
Remedies: Acon., Phos.
EGOTISM

Egotism is an exaggerated sense of self-worth or self-importance that is displayed as selfish or self-absorbed behaviour.
Remedies: Plat., calc., lach., pall., sil., sulph.
EMBARRASSED

This is a feeling of shame, uneasiness, or awkwardness.
Remedies: Sulph., ign., op.
EMBRACES

This is an act of affection by holding someone (or something) in one’s arm.
Companions: Agar., plat.
Anything, in morning worse in open air: Plat.
ENNUI/LOATHING OF LIFE/IRKSOME/WEARY OF LIFE

Ennui is the feeling of tiredness and boredom at the same time with no interest or excitement to do anything.
Remedies: Ant-c., Ars., Aur., Chin., Merc., Nat-m., Thuj., Phos.

Loathing of life: feeling of hatred with disgust (strong feeling of dislike).
Irksome: feeling of fatigue or tiredness due to lack of interest.
Weary of life: feeling of fatigue and boredom (lost interest) towards life specially for materialistic pleasures.
ENVY

It is a feeling of desire to have something what someone else has.
Happens when a person lacks other’s quality, skill, achievements or possessions.
Person may wish that others also do not have those things.
To feel envy, one must lack something (be it good looks, good salary, good grades etc.) that someone else has.
Example: when you see your rich neighbor buy a luxurious new car that you cannot afford.

Jealousy is a feeling of losing something to third party that you already have.

This is the feeling of extreme happiness or ecstasy.

EXCITEMENT

Excitement is a sense of too much joy, enthusiasm, or turmoil.

Exertion is the application of physical or mental labour.
